Sometimes it is easy to forget that Mackenzie Wells is just an eighth-grader. Wells, a pitcher with the Barren County High School softball team, has not pitched for the Trojanettes in some time due to sickness.
But when Wells made her return to the mound Tuesday against Warren Central, it was like she was never gone. The hard-throwing righthander led Barren County to a 10-0 romp over the Lady Dragons.
