Green's Jaggers, McDermott to test Glasgow defense

GLASGOW — Seniors Evan Jaggers and Weston McDermott have become two very familiar names to Glasgow High School Football Coach Rick Wood and his staff. Over the last few years, Wood has watched the two Green County standouts develop into good football players and on Friday night Wood will try to find a way to stop Jaggers and McDermott as the Scotties open district play against the Dragons.

“Evan Jaggers and Weston McDermott are not only two of the better players in the area, but also in the state,” said Wood. “Jaggers is a track state champion in the 100 meters, probably one of the three or four fastest kids in the state, if not the fastest. McDermott is a tremendous athlete. Both of them have started for three years and they’re obviously the focal point of our attention as we prepare for Green County.”
