Freddie Harbison, the head football coach at Metcalfe County High School, talked a lot in the preseason about how his team needed to find itself on offense, decide what type of team they were going to be.
After two frustrating losses to open the season, Metcalfe County picked up a convincing 37-0 victory over Hart County last Friday. And though a big win like that will definitely boost any team’s spirits, Harbison said the Hornets still have a lot of work to do.
“It is hard to tell if we’ve found our identity, believe we can win after just one game. I think I will be able tell you more about that after Friday night,” Harbison said. “We’re facing a pretty good team on Friday. Adair County has some good size and really good skill players. As far as truly believing we can win, I will be able to tell you more about that after Friday."
