Lady Scotties roll over Barren County

GLASGOW — Behind goals from five different players, the Glasgow High School Lady Scotties rolled over Barren County 10-0 Tuesday in high school soccer action.

Glasgow started fast and furious when Ali Grace Hampton drove a goal home 40 seconds into the contest. Less than four minutes later Raena Maupin made it 2-0 when she scored on a McKenzie Frasier assist.

For the next eight minutes, both teams went scoreless before Megan Jones put a penalty kick into the back of the net with over 27 minutes left in the first half to make it 3-0.

That’s when Frasier went on a one-player scoring surge, tallying three consecutive goals to give the Lady Scotties a 6-0 advantage and put the game out of reach.

Eleri Dye scored off another Frasier assist in the waning moments of the first half to give Glasgow a 7-0 lead at the break.
