In what may have been their best game of the season, the Glasgow High School Scotties accumulated more than 500 yards of total offense last Friday in a 48-13 victory at Green County. The Scotties jumped out on top of the Dragons early and never looked back.
And one of the significant points of the victory was the Scotties were able to put together such a good game against a tough opponent just three weeks before the playoffs begin. That game may also end up being significant for the Metcalfe County Hornets, the Scotties’ opponent on Friday.
“We played well last Friday and I thought it was a situation where our playmakers made plays,” said Glasgow coach Rick Wood. “And what made it so satisfying was it was different people contributing. It was (Quentel) Bradley, (Marquez) Trigg, then Milas Norris, and Connor Glass. That’s what makes it so tough to defend. Then it was Ryan Hinkley with a big run. I thought the overall balance was pretty impressive. And not to mention, the offensive line wasn’t bad either.”
