“I really think last year was just about getting our kids some experience,” said the coach. And so far this season, the Colonels have put that experience to good use. Caverna goes into Monday’s battle at Taylor County with a perfect 3-0 record.
The Colonels opened the season with a 7-4 victory over Portland Christian. And they followed that up with a doubleheader sweep of Fort Knox this past weekend, winning 16-11 and 6-4.
