The Barren County Trojanettes were led by the pitching of eighth-grader Mackenzie Wells and the power hitting of senior Gabby Gentry as they defeated the Glasgow High School Lady Scotties 5-2 Tuesday evening in high school softball action.
Wells pitched well for Barren County, scattering seven hits to five different batters, while striking out two and walking only one in a complete game win.
On the offensive side, Gentry collected her first high school home run when she drove the ball over the center field fence.
The victory pushes the Trojanettes to 6-5 on the year, while Glasgow fell to 5-6.
