The Monroe County Falcons scored six runs in the sixth inning and got a complete game effort from senior hurler Chad Wilson Tuesday night to knock off Barren County High School 10-4 in a big District 15 matchup.
“That was a big win for us. All of them are big wins for us,” said Monroe County coach Jerome Taylor. “Whenever we can get a district win on an opponent’s field, that’s a big win for us.”
“I think we had something like seven walks and two hit batters. We gave them eight or nine runners that we shouldn’t have,” said Barren County coach Johnny Vance. “We had a lot of early chances to score, but we didn’t come through with the hits when we needed them.”
