With as much as eight inches of rain over these last few days, Barren River Lake has reached over 10 feet above summer pool and is definitely up in the timber. Wednesday morning’s level was 563.43 feet and will go even higher if predicted rain appears.
The lake is still debris-filled making for hazardous boating, especially if you don’t slow down.

Surprisingly, the color is not all that bad and given a few days to settle, bass fishing with spinner baits on top water should be very good in the coming days.
