For Justin O’Dell and River Neal, it was never a matter of if they were going to play college soccer together, it was just a matter of where. The Barren County High School soccer standouts answered that question recently when they signed national letters of intent to play next year at Campbellsville University.
“I was looking for a place that had a pre-law program. But I was also looking for a place where I could play soccer with River,” said O’Dell. “He’s my best friend and that was real important to me. Campbellsville has a great soccer program and I am excited.”
“It is real important to have your friend by your side when it comes to something like this (going to college),” said Neal. “You’re going to be in a new environment and you need someone to be there with you and I am glad it is going to be Justin.”
O’Dell and Neal signed their letters of intent during ceremonies at Barren County High School.
