Glasgow swimmers post good times at invitational

The Glasgow High School swimmers posted some very good times last Saturday at the Hilltopper Invitational in Bowling Green.

Glasgow coach Lora Garrett took five of her middle school swimmers to the competition and the Lady Scotties posted some of their best times ever.

Grayson Reynolds had a time of 5 minutes, 40.70 seconds in the 500-meter freestyle, which was six seconds off the school record. She also finished 14th in the 100 backstroke and she helped the 400-meter freestyle relay team finish 11th overall. Reynolds teamed up with her sister, Addison, as well as Brooklyn Brown and Hannah Goodson.

Also competing Saturday for the Lady Scotties was Zoe Wooten. Wooten finished the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:42.43, six seconds better than her personal best time.

“I am really ecstatic about how these young girls competed,” said Glasgow coach Lora Garrett. “They dropped their times on almost every event.”

The Lady Scotties will now prepare to compete in this weekend’s Candy Cane Invitational in Owensboro.
