Purples pound Trojans

GLASGOW — In the huddle Friday night after his football team had just dropped a 58-0 decision to the No. 1 ranked Bowling Green Purples, Barren County coach Jason Esters tried to pick his team up. He reminded them there is a lot of football left to go in the season. And, he told them they still had a chance to reach the playoffs, a team goal since the beginning of the year. He wanted them to put the loss behind them.

“Now we have to put this game behind us. It is in the past,” said BCHS senior Chad Eaton. “We have a lot of season still to play. We have the chance to finish, I think, as the third seed in the district. And I don’t think that’s been done around here for some time. However, we have to do something to change the momentum.”
