The Barren County Trojans outscored Greenwood 17-12 in the fourth quarter Tuesday night to help them claim a hard-fought 59-56 victory.
"At times, I thought we played well defensively tonight. But we're still having too many breakdowns," said Barren County coach Warren Cunningham. "We shot 40 percent from the field, which isn't great, but you have to give Greenwood credit. They are a good defensive team and they did a good job of making us shoot over them."
The Trojans put three players in double figures Tuesday night. Charley McCoy led the way with 19 points. Wade Coomer scored 16 and Barrett Billingsley had 11. Ben Leftwich scored eight points and pulled down 12 rebounds.
The Trojans host Hart County on Friday before visiting rival Glasgow on Saturday. The boys' game at GHS is scheduled to begin around 6:30 p.m.
