Colonels beat Commanders

GLASGOW — The Caverna Colonels had a 10-point advantage over the Washington County Commanders on Thursday.

During the first quarter, Caverna was behind, 14-12. Caverna trailed in the third period, 26-32. At the end of the half,  Caverna scored 46 points, just one fewer than the Commanders. At the end of the game, Cavera pulled through with the win. The final was 76-66.

Mason Faulkner chipped in an impressive 37 points, while Anthony Philips got 19. Devon Paul helped out with 8 and DeAngelo Paul scored 6.

“We didn’t play good at first,” Caverna couch Cornelius Faulkner said. “... We played a lot better the second half.”

Lady Colonels outlast Lady Commanders

The Washington County Lady Commanders did not command the Caverna Lady Colonels Thursday. The final score was 49-35.

Madison Faulkner led the offense with 19 points, while Ciara Waggnor chipped in 18. Nicole Bradley scored ten and Shanda Bradley got one.
