Caverna wary of Glasgow's big men

Glasgow Daily Times

GLASGOW — The Caverna High School boys’ basketball team has a tall task in front of them as the Colonels look to close out the regular season on a high note.

Caverna has three more games on its ledger and head coach Blake Button would like nothing better than to finish with three wins as the Colonels head into the district tournament.

But the task won’t be easy as Colonels open the stretch run with Glasgow Friday night.

They will then host Campbellsville and Metcalfe County next week.

“We’re pretty pleased with how we’re playing right now. We set some high expectations and we got off to a good start. However, we had some problems in January,” Button said.

“We weren’t playing bad, we just had some shots that weren’t falling. A lot of small things were hurting us.

“We always want to win and we’ve got three more games to go, so we would like to finish 3-0 and end on a high note. I am sure the kids know each other, so it would be a big win for us.”
