The Glasgow Lady Scotties scored another big victory on their home court Thursday night when they rolled past the Hart County Lady Raiders, 69-29.
The young Lady Raiders were no match for the experience and size of Glasgow, and that difference was obvious for most of the night.
The Lady Scotties’ starting lineup of two seniors, two juniors and 5’11” freshman Breanna Glover was too much to overcome.
Glasgow jumped quickly to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter and never led by less than 18 points the rest of the game. The Lady Scotties held the Lady Raiders to only nine first half points and led 35-9 at the intermission.
Glasgow coach Justin Stinson said, “Well, for us it always starts at the defensive end. I thought we did a really good job on defense. I thought we were tremendous on the glass.
“Championships are won on defense and rebounding. We got away from that, but here of late we got that back.”
