BCHS splits games at Russell County

GLASGOW — Barren County's girls lost to the Lady Lakers 68-43 Tuesday at Russell County, scoring less every quarter.

First quarter scoring was 10-5, second was 27-11, third 16-14 and final quarter 15-13.

For the Trojanettes, Deanie Pedigo led with 14, with the next highest being Kelsey Cummings and Taylor Davis, each with 7. Reanna Poynter scored 4; Kelsay Manion, Kennedy Logsdon and Kaitlyn Wyatt each added 3; and Jessica Durham contributed 2 points.

Trojans beat Lakers

The Trojans' 19-12 first-quarter lead slipped as the Russell County Lakers scored 22 to the Barren County boys' 14 in the second quarter, but they persisted in the third quarter 26-17 and each team scored 19 in the final quarter for the Trojans to win 78-70.

Dalton Bush topped the Trojans' scoring with 24 points. Next came Charley McCoy with 16 and Jaucoby Poore with 13. Barrett Billingsley contributed 9, Clay Simmons 8, and Bo Hubbard and Matthew Bunnell each put in 4.
