BOWLING GREEN — Jake Guhy threw two touchdown passes to Deion Jackson, and Stuart Mills rushed for two scores as Mayfield defeated Williamsburg 42-0 in the KHSAA Class 1A championship game Friday.
Mayfield (14-1) scored 35 first-quarter points in the Cardinals' second consecutive state championship and third state title in five years.
Dalton Sizemore led Williamsburg (11-3) with 20 carries for 58 yards.
Guhy and Jackson connected on touchdown passes of 65 yards and 54 yards to go up 21-0 with 8:18 to play in the first quarter.
Guhy finished the game completing 14 of 19 passes for 213 yards and three scores. Bacon Marshall added five catches for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Trajon Bright finished with 129 yards rushing including a 91-yard score before Mills scored his second touchdown of the game with a 15-yard run. Mills finished with 46 yard on eight carries.
