Caverna's Lane looking for consistency from Colonels

GLASGOW — Caverna head baseball coach David Lane likes what he sees from his team, most of the time. The Colonels are hitting the ball pretty well and he’s getting pretty good pitching on almost every outing.

But the thing that’s driving Lane “crazy” right now about this team is consistency - or the lack there of.

And the Colonels’ lack of consistency played out once again this past weekend when Caverna split two games Saturday, losing to Bethlehem 15-2 before beating Louisville Western, 9-3.

“We’re battling consistency right now,” Lane explained. “If we could find consistent defense on the routine plays, we could compete with anyone.”
