Wells, Sturgeon compete in Ky. Open

GLASGOW — Thomas Wells of Glasgow is among the field of golfers to compete for the 2012 Kentucky Open championship beginning Tuesday at Traditions Golf Club.

The course in  in Hebron is a par 72 with a yardage of 7,103.

Wells, an amateur, will be grouped with Grant Sturgeon, a native of Cave City who now plays and is listed as being from Louisville, and Dan DePasquale, of Louisville. The trio is scheduled to tee-off Tuesday at 12:54 p.m. and at 8:09 a.m. Wednesday.

Other notable players in the field include brothers Jordan and Seth Blann of Bowling Green, Dakota Woodcock of Scottsville, and Matthew Anderson of Tompkinsville.
