Metcalfe County visits Caverna Friday

GLASGOW — When the Metcalfe County Hornets visit the Caverna High School Colonels on Friday at 7 p.m., it will be a game with two football teams desperately searching for a win. The Hornets are 4-5 on the season, while the Colonels have won only two games in nine outings.

“We wish we would have had a little more success this season,” said Metcalfe County coach Freddie Harbison. “However, I think we’re a better team than we were last year. We seem to continually get better each week.”

“We’ve had good practices this week and we will give it all we have Friday night,” said Caverna coach Rodney Middleton. “We’ve made some changes. A lot of freshmen will see time on the field Friday.”
