Glasgow bats too much for Caverna

HORSE CAVE — The Glasgow High School Scotties had little trouble with the Caverna Colonels in high school baseball action Friday night as the Scotties rolled to an easy 20-0 victory. The win pushed Glasgow to 3-0 on the year, while the Colonels dropped to 3-2.

“We have a formula. We’re going to take our walks if they give us walks and we’re going to take our hit by pitches if they’re going to give them to us,” said Glasgow coach Sam Royse. “However, we did have some balls that were struck well today. But that (hitting the ball well) takes some time. We’ve only seen live pitching, including the scrimmage, four times this year. It takes some guys time to get going.”
