Glasgow to host Bardstown Friday in playoff game

GLASGOW — The Glasgow High School football staff has been huddled away for part of this week watching film on the Bardstown Tigers, the Scotties’ next opponent in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Class 2A Playoffs. The coaches are looking for anything that might give them an advantage.

But to hear Glasgow coach Rick Wood talk about it, there is not a whole lot the coaching staff will be able to pick up on film. Sometimes, he said, you’ve got to just play.

“We have to limit their big plays, whether it is on special teams or on offense,” said Wood, whose team is 9-2. “However, the further along you go in the playoffs, there are no more secrets. Paducah Tilghman is very good, and we’re very good. So, we will see what happens.”

Friday’s game is slated for 7 p.m at Royse Stadium.
