Glass signs to play baseball for Berea College

GLASGOW — When Cord Glass was looking for somewhere to play college baseball, he had a checklist every program had to meet. He didn’t want to go too far from Glasgow, and he wanted to find a coach that had a similar philosophy to his high school coach, GHS boss Sam Royse. And most of all, Glass wanted to find a place where he could feel at home.

Well, the Glasgow High School standout found just what he was looking for in coach Todd Weaver and the Berea College Mountaineers.

“When I started looking at schools, I definitely wanted to go somewhere close to home because of my family,” Glass said. ‘But the thing I wanted to see in all the schools I looked at was whether they were a close group or not. And I found that at Berea.

“When I went to visit, the players and the coaches were very friendly and welcoming. I loved it up there.”
