BCHS bowlers earn big wins

GLASGOW — The Barren County High School bowlers recently split a doubleheader with visiting John Hardin High School.

The Trojans ran their season record to 8-1 with a 6-1 victory over JHHS, while the Trojanettes dropped a 6-1 decision to the Lady Bulldogs to fall to 7-2 on the year.

Dakota Hunt led the Trojans in scoring in the first team match, rolling a 172 and a 180 for a two-game series of 352. Matthew Jamison bowled a 180 game to pace himself to a 313 series.

In the second team match, Cody Miller set the pace with a 407 series, including a 223 game. Travis Tarter had a 193.

Samantha Endicott and Mackenzie Taylor led the Trojanettes in the  losing effort.

Endicott rolled a 149 and a 131 for a 280 two-game series.

Taylor matched Endicott’s series total, rolling games of 148-132. BCHS’ lone win was the second Baker game, beating John Hardin by a score of 142-91.

The Trojans went into the John Hardin match off of a 7-0 shutout of Warren Central.

Clay Church led the way for BCHS with a 200 game and a 360 series. Tarter bowled well, too.

Against Warren Central, he had games of 175 and 200.

The Trojanettes captured the win with a 6-1 decision over Warren Central, winning every point but the first Baker game of the match, (156-98).

Abigail Salgat had games of 162 and 128 for a 290 two-game series, while Taylor rolled a 169 and a 168 for a 337 series.

The Trojans and Trojanettes will be back in action on Tuesday when they visit Warren East High School in Bowling Green.
