Friday’s Metcalfe vs. Monroe hoops twin bill postponed
Friday’s scheduled girls/boys varsity basketball doubleheader between Metcalfe County and Monroe County has been postponed due to the Falcons’ playoff football game.
A make up date has not been announced at this time.
Metcalfe is back in action Tuesday at district foe Cumberland County, while Monroe is scheduled to play at Clinton County.

Louisville’s Terry out with knee injury
LOUISVILLE — Louisville sophomore center Laura Terry has undergone knee surgery and is likely to be out four to six weeks.
Terry has started one game for the No. 13 Cardinals, played in all four and is averaging 7.8 points. She moved to center after the loss of senior Chauntise Wright, also to a knee injury.
Terry underwent arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to repair cartilage damage in her right knee.
Coach Jeff Walz told The Courier-Journal that while it’s a setback, he’s happy to hear Terry can return during the season. He says five of the team’s 10 healthy players are freshmen, and Terry’s absence will give the younger players a chance to gain experience.
