Meet the Trojans, Trojanettes is Monday
The Barren County Athletic Booster Club will introduce the Trojans and Trojanettes, including the girls and boys basketball teams, swim team, cheerleaders and dance team on Monday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Barren County High School gym.
Participants should plan to bring a salad or dessert to share. The Booster Club will provide pizza and drinks.
Long sleeve t-shirts will also be available for purchase, as well as booster club memberships and season tickets.

Lady Hoopster league sign ups begin Dec. 1
Registration for Lady Hoopsters Basketball league will begin Monday, Dec. 1, at the Glasgow Recreation Department.
A child must be 9 years of age before Jan. 5 and can not turn 13 before March 31. Any child participating in middle school or junior varsity basketball is not allowed to participate in the Lady Hoopsters league.
The fee for this program is $20 per child, which includes a T-shirt.
Office hours are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Late night registration will be available on Thursday, Dec. 11, Tuesday, Dec. 16, and Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the recreation department, which is located at 309 S. Liberty St.
A skills clinic will be conducted at the Liberty Street gym on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 9 a.m.

Volleyball tourney slated for Dec. 13-14
The Glasgow Recreation Department is sponsoring a Winter Freeze Volleyball Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13-14, at the Liberty Street metal gym. The double elimination draw for seedings will have divisions for Co-ed 6s, Church co-ed 6s, Men’s 4s and Women’s 4s.
Deadline to register is Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Cornhole league sign ups begin Dec. 1
The Glasgow Recreation Department is sponsoring an Open Cornhole league with registration Dec. 1-26 at the recreation department between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
League play will begin the first week of January. Fee is $10 per team, which will consist of two regular players and one alternate, who must be named before the first game is played.
A Christmas Cornament will be played Saturday, Dec. 20, with a double elimination format. Fee is $10 per team with 20 paid team cut-off. Registration for the cornament continues through Dec. 20.
