The Barren County Athletic Booster Club will introduce the Trojans and Trojanettes, including the girls and boys basketball teams, swim team, cheerleaders and dance team on Monday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Barren County High School gym. Participants should plan to bring a salad or dessert to share. The Booster Club will provide pizza and drinks. Long sleeve t-shirts will also be available for purchase, as well as booster club memberships and season tickets. Lady Hoopster league sign ups begin Dec. 1 Registration for Lady Hoopsters Basketball league will begin Monday, Dec. 1, at the Glasgow Recreation Department. A child must be 9 years of age before Jan. 5 and can not turn 13 before March 31. Any child participating in middle school or junior varsity basketball is not allowed to participate in the Lady Hoopsters league. The fee for this program is $20 per child, which includes a T-shirt. Office hours are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Late night registration will be available on Thursday, Dec. 11, Tuesday, Dec. 16, and Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the recreation department, which is located at 309 S. Liberty St. A skills clinic will be conducted at the Liberty Street gym on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 9 a.m. For more information, contact the Glasgow Recreation Department at 651-3811 or 651-9012. Volleyball tourney slated for Dec. 13-14 The Glasgow Recreation Department is sponsoring a Winter Freeze Volleyball Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13-14, at the Liberty Street metal gym. The double elimination draw for seedings will have divisions for Co-ed 6s, Church co-ed 6s, Men’s 4s and Women’s 4s.
