Glasgow set to face explosive Admirals

—
Glasgow has its work cut out for it tonight.
The winless Scotties (0-10) begin the playoffs with a trip to No. 7 Danville (7-3). The Admirals have won five of their last six games after opening the season just 2-2.
If the Scotties are going to pick up their first win of the season tonight, they’ll have to stop a very potent Admiral offense to do so. Danville rolls up 459 yards per game with a scoring average of 33.6 points per contest. The Admirals have scored 30 points in eight of their 10 games this season and have topped 40 points four times.
Danville is impressively balanced in both its pass and run game. The Admirals average 232.6 passing yards and 226.4 rushing yards per game.
Quarterback Trae Grey spurs the offense, having thrown for 2,295 yards with 18 touchdowns and 13 interceptions on the season. He is 114-of-217 passing.
Antwoine Simon spurs the rushing attack. He has rushed 174 times for 1,246 yards and 17 scores.
The Admirals have five receivers with double digit receptions. Kruz Warner has a team-high 19 receptions for 393 yards and two touchdowns, while Derrik Henderson leads the team in receiving yardage with 438 on 15 catches. He also has three touchdown receptions.
Jacody Taylor (18-325, TD), Antwoine Simon (12-128, 3 TD) and Cameron Burgess (10-194, TD) each have double digit receptions as well.
Glasgow has been more of an enigma this season. The Scotties have clicked offensively at times, such as a 56-48 double overtime loss at Larue County and again with 32 points against Monroe County on Oct. 17. Glasgow has also been shut out once, in a 14-0 loss at Metcalfe County on Oct. 24, and has scored 14 or fewer points in five games this season.
Freshman Tavion Parrish leads the rushing attack with 526 yards, while senior Blake Perkins, who has missed two full games and parts of others due to injuries, has rushed for 456 yards.
Tyler Lindsey is 77-of-161 passing on the season for 1,196 yards. He has thrown nine touchdowns and nine interceptions. John Allen has 20 receptions for 458 yards and five touchdowns.
The Admirals are 5-0 at home this season with an average margin of victory at their home stadium of 19 points. Danville has averaged 37.6 points per game at home this season.
