Glasgow girls soccer defeats Warren East

The Glasgow girls soccer team got back on the winning track with a 5-1 victory over Warren East on Monday night.
Five Lady Scotties each had a goal in the win. Finding the net for Glasgow was Lauren Chavira, Natalie Eubank, Anja Gilreath, Hannah Holgate and Katherine Rogers. Charli Fant and Kristina Hapney had assists for Glasgow, while the defense was anchored by Jessica Lynch and Taylor Emberton, according to coach Lora Garrett.
The junior varsity team also won on Monday, topping Warren East 6-1. Meghan Taylor netted a hat trick to lead Glasgow offensively, finding the net three times. Micha Elmore added a pair of goals and Maitlin Nuckols also scored. Getting assists were Ada McDaniels, Shelley Trautman and Pooja Reddy.
The defense was led by Devin Stuart and Sarah Kate Vaught while Lauren Alexander played well in the goal, said Garrett.
Glasgow is back in action today with a pair of road contests at Somerset. The varsity game is slated for a 5:30 p.m. central daylight time start. The JV game will follow the varsity contest.
