Glasgow shot 157 as a team to defeat Barren County in a 9-hole match Wednesday at the Glasgow Country Club.
The Scotties defeated the Trojans 157 to 173.
Glasgow’s Jordan Daniel led all performers with a 37 on Wednesday, while Cameron Branham added a 38. Clint Hall and Andrew Wade each shot a 41, Steely Harris had a round of 43 and Corey Wooten shot a round of 45.
“We’re kind of inconsistent right now,” Glasgow coach James Neal said. “We’ve got to turn some of our 40s into 30s as we get closer to the regional tournament.”
TA Wells led Barren with a 40. Chris Neitzel shot a 43, Chase Nunn added a 44, Matt Turner fired a round of 46 and both Nathan Layton and Connor Bryant each had a 49.
The Scotties are busy next week. They host Bowling Green on Monday, play at Monroe County on Tuesday and face Allen County-Scottsville at home on Wednesday. The Scotties then host the Glasgow Invitational, which includes Barren, on Sept. 20 at the Glasgow Country Club.
The Trojans return to play Monday at Warren Central and Tuesday at Warren East.
