— BCMS football practice begins July 14
The Barren County Middle School football team will begin practicing on July 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the Jackie B. Browning Little League Football Field. Cleat orders may be made at Hibbett’s in Glasgow.

Softball league plays two nights a week
Summer league men’s softball will be played Monday and Thursday nights at Bowling Park in Edmonton. Entry fee is $150.

T.J. Samson golf scramble is July 26
T.J. Samson Community Hospital’s Rehabilitation Services Department will be hosting a golf scramble on Saturday, July 26, at Fox Hollow Golf Club.
This is a bring-your-own-team 4-person golf scramble. Team handicap must be 40 or over. Cost is $55 and will include lunch.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the first three places.
All proceeds will go to CAMP TJ Kids and the Discovery Academy. Both CAMP TJ Kids and the Discovery Academy are specifically designed for preschool to high school-aged children who require additional help with fine motor skills, gross motor skills, strength as well as endurance, coordination, handwriting, social skills and speech.

Men’s C state qualifier will be July 18-20
A Men’s C state qualifier softball tournament will be held July 18-20 at Beaver Trail Softball Complex.
The cost to enter is $175 per team and the deadline to register is July 14. ASA rules will be in place. A team trophy and T-shirts will be awarded to the first place and runner-up teams.
