Jim Richards Cup
The Glasgow Country Club and Bowling Green’s Indian Hills Country Club will face off in the Jim Richards Cup this weekend.
The opening round will tee off Saturday at 8 a.m. with the second round beginning Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
It will be a Ryder Cup style tournament featuring a 20-person Glasgow team and an 18-person Indian Hills squad.
The cup will follow United States Golf Association (USGA) rules.
Last year, Glasgow won the event, which honors golf coach Jim Richards.
KHSAA officials recruitment
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s (KHSAA) Fourth Region Volleyball Officials will hold a recruitment meeting on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Bob Kirby branch of the Warren County Public Library.
Anyone interested in officiating volleyball this season is encouraged to attend.

Prevent Blindness golf scramble
Kentucky’s Prevent Blindness volunteer group will hold a “Swing for Sight” golf scramble at Lake Forest Country Club in Louisville on July 27.
Proceeds from the tournament will help the group provide preschool vision screenings and other community services.
A silent auction will be held after the scramble to help raise money.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. on the day of the event, followed by lunch at 11:30.
The event begins at 12:30.
Boys and Girls Club 5K
The Glasgow / Barren County Boys and Girls Club will sponsor a 5K Run / Walk and Kids half-mile “Fun Run” on Sept. 19 at 8 a.m.
The entry fee for the 5K will be $15 before Sept. 12 and $18 after.
The entry fee for the Fun Run will be $12.
