Barren tennis drops pair to Greenwood

GLASGOW —
Barren County fell to Greenwood in tennis on Tuesday. The girls lost 6-3 while the boys fell 9-0.
Veronica Smith claimed the Trojanettes’ lone singles win on the day with a 9-8 (9-7) win over Emma Hall in number five singles.
The duo of Hilary Rickard and Laura Ross won in number one doubles with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Jessica Adams and Ashley Edwards. Amanda Shives and Shandi Greene won the number three doubles match, defeating Sarah Newton and Katherine Meredith 8-4.
Barren is back in action today with a 4:15 p.m. home match against Allen County-Scottsville.
