Steve Newberry, president and CEO of Commonwealth Broadcasting Company, presented Hiseville Elementary School a monetary donation for the playground fund. Principal John Stith and PTO officers Letitia Hughes and Tracy Sherfey accept the check from Newberry. Hiseville PTO officers, parents, students and staff have raised $15,000 to purchase new playground equipment. Hiseville School, with the assistance of Hiseville PTO, continues to raise funds to renovate the existing equipment with a goal to raise an additional $15,000 to start construction of an updated playground. Newberry is a native of the Hiseville area. Pictured are Newberry, principal John Stith and PTO officers Letitia Hughes and Tracy Sherfey.
