LETTERS: Special people make bad situation better Special reportsGlasgow Daily Times The next time you are driving down the road and start to throw out your trash, don’t do it. Take care of our planet and keep your trash in the car with you until you can put it in the garbage.
Be a better person and don’t litter. Now you know how I feel about picking up other people’s trash. Molly Williams Austin Sheriff’s office does good job Dear Editor, We want to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department for their dedication to our community. In our opinion, the level of expertise and dedication demonstrated by this group of service people has never been surpassed in our 69 years of life in this area. Chris Eaton’s phenomenal leadership is evident in every aspect of the service of the department. This is the most visible, hardworking, results-oriented group that we’ve been honored to observe in the history of the department as we know it. A special thank you goes to Steve Runyon for his compassion, service and devotion. Just one instance involving this force, and from our personal standpoint, involved our 4-wheeler which was stolen from our barn, just within a few feet from our home, on the night of Feb. 11. Steve’s comment when the incident was reported was for us not to give up — that he would keep working on it. The department would do everything in their power to recover our property. Within a couple of months, the 4-wheeler was recovered and arrests were made.
