My name is Kim Barnett and I live in Morgantown, Ind. My family was visiting in Cave City the weekend of May 22. On Saturday, May 23, my family and I were involved in a head-on collision on highway 90 in Barren County. I wanted to thank all of the emergency personnel who helped us on the scene that day. And there’s one special person I want to thank and her name was Tammy. I don’t know the last name, but it happened in front of her home. Thank you so much for taking care of me and my children. They were terrified. My daughter, Autumn, said, “Mommy, she was nice. She took me and Owen up to her house to give us Kool-aid.” There’s not too many people in this world who will jump in to help a stranger and you did. I thank you to the bottom of my heart and I’ll always remember what you did for me and my family. Also thank you to all the other people who stopped to help. Kim Barnett Morgantown, Ind. Keep our county clean Dear Editor, Hi, my name is Molly Williams and I would like to tell you how I feel about people throwing their trash out on the road. I have been participating in the cash for trash program to earn money for a trip to the National Beta Convention in Florida this month. My friend and I will be representing Austin Tracy in the T-shirt competition. We picked up trash for five miles on a county road. I think it is bad when people use the road as their trash can. It is nasty! It is not good for the animals or the scenery.
