HILLVIEW – Reverend Robert B. Gosser, 79, of Hillview, returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Mr. Gosser was born March 18, 1933, to the late Bennie and Ida Gosser in Metcalfe County, Ky. He worked for Ford Motor Company until he became disabled in 1974. He was a member of Coral Ridge Separate Baptist Church and an ordained minister of Nolynn Separate Baptist Association. Robert was a loving husband, blessed father, wonderful papaw and great-papaw.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents, and two brothers, Cecil and Melvin Gosser.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years, Gowelda Jean Gosser; son, Otis Gosser; daughters, Linda Underwood, Brenda Freelan, Glenda Green (Dean), Marsha Johnson (Bobby), Patricia Gosser; sisters, Pearlie Wilson and Joyce Morgan (Roddie); brothers, Ralph Gosser (Wilma) and Isaac Gosser (Betty); 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road) with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 1 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Schoppenhorst.
Ralph Junior Grider
TOMPKINSVILLE – Ralph Junior Grider, 70, of Tompkinsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
The Monroe County native was the son of the late Trance and Mary Susan (Anderson) Grider.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Ann (Strode) Grider.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Cyclone Church of Christ with burial to follow at Bailey Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday at 2 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home. It will continue at the funeral home Saturday morning until 10:30 a.m. and after 11 a.m. at Cyclone Church of Christ until funeral time.

Juanita Garrett Waters
HORSE CAVE – Juanita Garrett Waters, 79, of Horse Cave, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Hart County Health Care in Horse Cave.
She was born in Burkesville and was preceded in death by her parents, William Garrett and Bertha Branham Garrett, and her husband, Porter Waters Jr.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cedar Cliff Baptist Church.
MOUNT JULIET, Tenn. – Richard Carroll Bartley, 69, of Mount Juliet, Tenn., died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013. A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel. A committal service will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be 1 to 3 pm Saturday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
BOWLING GREEN – Paul Larry Jones, 64, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Boiling Springs Church of Christ Cemetery.
MUNFORDVILLE –Michael Wayne Parker, 58, of Munfordville, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital after a brief illness. A memorial service will be at noon Sunday at Wilkerson Temple Methodist Church. There will be no visitation. Sego Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
