David Terry Bunnell
HORSE CAVE – David Terry Bunnell, 60, of Horse Cave, passed away suddenly Wednesday night at his home.
The Northtown native was a son of the late Sam and Zelphia Bybee Bunnell. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Deborah Scott Bunnell.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, with Brother Gary Talley and Brother Dewayne Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Northtown Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Sunday, at the funeral home until time for services. Memorial donations may be made to the Sheltowee Trail Ride Association.
Angela Jean Howard
TOMPKINSVILLE – Angela Jean Howard, 48, of Tompkinsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at her home.
Angela was born in Tompkinsville on Sept. 2, 1964, a daughter of Billy (Elaine) Maxey, of Burkesville, and the late Georgia Howard.
Funeral services will be at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. with Brother Massingile and Brother Michael Turner officiating. Visitation is Friday, Nov. 30 from 5 until 9 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home and Saturday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Mount Nebo Cemetery.
Emma Jean Martin Minor
CAVE CITY – Emma Jean Martin Minor, 84, of Cave City, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in Hart County to the late Noah Lee and Lillian Sturgeon Martin and was married to the late Russell Minor.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.
Virginia Overfelt Patenaude
CANMER – Virginia Overfelt Patenaude, 86, of Canmer, died at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
She was a Jefferson County native. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ola Overfelt and Eva Mae Gill Overfelt Vance.
She is survived by her husband, Pat Patenaude, of Canmer.
Funeral services will be at Winn Funeral Home Chapel, 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 4 until 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Sunday until service time.
Mary Edna South Porter
CENTER – Mary Edna South Porter, 91, of Center, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at NHC Health Care in Glasgow.
She was the daughter of the late Weeden and Dora Lambirth Beard. She was a homemaker, retired from Handmachers in Glasgow and member of the Center Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Joe, and wife Gayle South, of Center; two sisters, Ruth Huffman, of Glasgow and Evelyn Ratay, of Collinsville, Ill.; four grandchildren, Renee Watson, of Bowling Green, Craig South, of Campbellsville, Heather Curry, of Greensburg and Scott South, of Bowling Green; 12 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Shannon Matthews, of Horse Cave, Stacy Jones, of Elizabethtown, and Sharla Young, of Greensburg; seven step-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim South and Frank Porter; one son, Terry South and two brothers, Herbert and Robert Beard.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in the Center-Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
TOMPKINSVILLE – Benny Wood, 58, of Tompkinsville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Ind., as the result of a utility construction accident.
He was born Sept. 26, 1954 in Barren County to the late Druie Ray Wood and Nell Miller Wood. He was a utility construction worker for Twin State Utilities. He was united in marriage to Janice Bartley Wood on March 29, 1974.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Bartley Wood, of Tompkinsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Lindsay Wood, of Tompkinsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Joe Neal Finley, of Mount Hermon; one brother, Adam Wood, of Tompkinsville; one sister, Dana Poland, of Glasgow; five grandchildren and an aunt, Mabel Branstetter, of Glasgow.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Truman Wood; one sister, Bernice Stephens; and a grandchild, Ann Claire Finley.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
