GLASGOW — James Kendall McDonald

EDMONTON – James Kendall McDonald, 20, of Edmonton, died Wednesday Nov. 7, 2012, at his home. 

He was a graduate of Metcalfe County High School and an employee of Med-Care Pharmacy in Glasgow.  

He is survived by his father, Tim McDonald, of Russell Springs; mother, Cassandra Brown, and husband Tim, of Edmonton; brother, Taylor Brown, of Edmonton; grandparents, Ronnie McQueary and Kathy Bernard, Jim and Anna McDonald, all of Russell Springs, Travis Wade and Mary Sue Brown, of Edmonton; uncles and aunts, John Michael and Macia McQueary, of Richmond, Ronald Ray McQueary Jr. and Emily Minoque, of Russell Springs, Tammy and Ronnie Harper and David Brown, all of Edmonton, Jerome and Debbie Cash, of Burkesville. He is also survived by a host of cousins, too numerous to mention. He is gone but will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in House of Prayer Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.



Estelle Marie ‘Ted’ Wood

TOMPKINSVILLE – Estelle Marie “Ted” Wood, 97, of Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Monroe County Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Tompkinsville.

On Oct. 26, 1935, at Monroe County Courthouse, she married Robert "Bob" Wood, who passed away on Nov. 3, 2006.

Ted was born in Tompkinsville, on April 29, 1915, a daughter of the late Pare (Copas) and Wood Hale. She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.

Ted is survived by a son-in-law, Donald Headrick; two grandchildren, Beth (Jimmie) Cochran, and Bobby Headrick; a great-granddaughter, Cassandra Cochran, all of Glasgow. She is also survived by a sister, Hazel Wood, of Illinois; and a brother, Paul Hale, of Moss, Tenn.

Ted was preceded in death by her son, Billie Joel Wood; a daughter, Melva Jean Headrick; two brothers, Eston Hale and Cordell Hale; and five sisters, Chloe Owen, Mamie Hale Chandler, Brenda Hale Campbell, Lottie Hale Smith and Wanda Hale Frederick.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at Beech Grove #2 Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Tim Eaton officiating.

Visitation is Friday after 4 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home and Saturday 9 until 11 a.m. at Beech Grove #2 Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.

BURKESVILLE – Roy Fred Capps Sr., 87, of Burkesville, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Cumberland County Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, followed by burial in Burkesville Cemetery.



GLASGOW – Roger Carnahan, 63, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Wintersong Village Healthcare in Ohio. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in Turner Cemetery at Mud Lick.
