GLASGOW — Johnnie Michael McElroy
GLASGOW — Johnnie Michael McElroy, 54, of Glasgow, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, in Green County from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Born in Taylor County, he was the son of the late Henry Leo McElroy and Annie Agnes Shively McElroy of Finley, who survives. Mr. McElroy was a member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church and owner and operator of Little Pony Express Trucking in Glasgow.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Bobbie Teresa McElroy, of Glasgow; two sons, Michael Brian Spurling and wife Tammie, and Jonathan Leo McElroy, both of Campbellsville; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann McElroy of Finley; a step-daughter, Melissa Renee Ross of Merry Oaks; eight grandchildren, Isabelle Spurling, Sophia Spurling, Gabby Vanhoose, Jonathon Sanders, Cheyenne Adkins, Cayden Lane Titsworth, Emily Grace Titsworth and Bryson Lane McElroy; two brothers, Roy Thomas McElroy and wife Patsy of Lebanon, and Charles Wayne McElroy and wife Brenda of Finley; six sisters, Billie Mae Turner and husband John of Bardstown, Nancy Marie Moore and husband Charles of Lebanon, Mary Elizabeth Parrott and husband Wallace of Lebanon, Gloria Lillian McElroy of Finley, Roberta Ann Lewis and husband Larry of Willisburg, and Brenda Kay Goatley and husband Charles of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a half-brother Afton Leroy McElroy.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. CST Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Campbellsville, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday after 1 p.m. CST at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral home and Wednesday from 10 a.m. CST until time for the service at the church.
