GLASGOW — Everett Randall Chaney

SAVOYARD – Everett Randall Chaney, 76, of Savoyard, Ky., died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.



Caroline Anne Hammontree

EDMONTON – Caroline Anne Hammontree, 73, of Edmonton, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Glasgow Health and Rehab in Glasgow.  She was born in Frackville, Pa., the daughter of the late Harry and Caroline Alton Lewis.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Hammontree Sr.     

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Frackville with burial in Sky-View Memorial Park at Tamaqua, Pa.  Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 8 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, Ky. with a memorial service beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Out of town services will be conducted by Nice-Hart Funeral Home in Frackton, Pa.      



Dr. H. Randolph Richards

SCOTTSVILLE – Dr. H. Randolph Richards, 85, of Scottsville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.

He was born Oct. 8, 1927, in Warren County, to the late Gilbert Richards and Eva Belle Amos Richards. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of Graham Lodge for 65 years, First United Methodist Church of Scottsville, a Red Cross Allen County Blood Mobil Coordinator and a retired UK Cooperative Extension Agent.

He was Ky. State Bee Keeper of the year in 2006, a member of Allen County Bee Keepers and sergeant of arms and attended Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club.

He was united in marriage on July 13, 1996 to Audra Goodrum in Crossville, Tenn.

He is survived by his wife, Audra Goodrum Richards, of Scottsville, three sons, Barry Richards, of Cross Plains, Tenn., Douglas Richards, of Lexington, Richard F. Richards, of Goshen; one step-son, Rodney Owens, of Scottsville; two daughters, Elaine Friesen and Virginia Stokes, both of Louisville, two step-daughters, Lisa Smith, of Tompkinsville, Janette Temple, of Scottsville; one sister, Loretta Hix, of Leesville, S.C., 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 7 at 3 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville with burial to follow in Allen County Memorial Lawn.

Visitation is in progress and will continue after 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville.  Masonic services were conducted Friday night at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Relay for Life or Red Cross.



Judy Ann Shoopman Shaw

WILLOW SHADE – Judy Ann Shoopman Shaw, 58, of Willow Shade, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late James and Alene Ballard Shoopman. She was a member of Willow Shade Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Shaw; one son, Daniel (Casey) Shaw, of Willow Shade; two grandchildren, Reselyn and Madelyn Shaw and two step-grandchildren, Hailey Lawson and Holden Carey; three brothers, Doug Shoopman and Rondal Shoopman, both of Willow Shade, and Clarence Gibbons, of Summer Shade; her mother-in-law, Reba Shaw, of Willow Shade and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Robert and Gary Shoopman and her father-in-law, Travis (Ball) Shaw.

Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m., at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Brother Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Harvey Cemetery at Willow Shade. Visitation will begin Sunday, Sept. 8, at noon.

PRICEVILLE – Letha Tweedy Fulkerson, 78, of the Priceville community, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at her home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with burial to follow in Whickerville Cemetery.



CHICAGO, Ill. – Minnie Elizabeth Shirley, 82, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Tompkinsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, in Chicago. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Burial will be in Mount Nebo Cemetery in Monroe County.
