GLASGOW —

Johnie Melvin Dennis

ELIZABETHTOWN – Johnie Melvin Dennis, 75, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday evening, Aug, 18, 2013, along with his wife, from injuries sustained in a two vehicle automobile accident in Hardin County.  He was a son of the late Louis Lively Dennis and Hite Marie Perkins Dennis.  

Funeral services for Johnie Dennis will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Brother Cleo Hester and Brother Adam Jenkins officiating.  Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday after 8 a.m. at Sego Funeral Home. The family request that memorial donations be made to Center Point Cemetery Fund. These donations may be left at Sego Funeral Home.



Luevenia Hester Dennis

ELIZABETHTOWN – Luevenia Hester Dennis, 71, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 18, 2013, along with her husband, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle automobile accident in Hardin County.  She was a daughter of the late Auther Lee Hester and Ida Florence Dorsey Hester.  

Funeral services for Luevenia Dennis will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Brother Cleo Hester and Brother Adam Jenkins officiating.  Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday after 8 a.m. at Sego Funeral Home.  The family request that memorial donations be made to Center Point Cemetery Fund.  These donations may be left at Sego Funeral home.



Layne Preston Houchens

GLASGOW – Layne Preston Houchens, infant son of Tyler Houchens and Haley Wilkinson, of Glasgow, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at the Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville. Layne was born Aug. 5, 2013, at Bowling Green.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Sammy Houchens and wife Angie, of Glasgow; maternal grandparents, Will Wilkinson and wife Denise, of Glasgow and Kim Wilkinson, of Glasgow; paternal great-grandparents Larry Houchens and wife Anita, of Glasgow, Irene Gibson and husband Robert, of Edmonton and Roger Coffey, of Glasgow; maternal great-grandparents Polly Spillman and husband Richard, of Glasgow, Jay Ramey, of Glasgow and Linda Ramey, of Glasgow; and two uncles, Luke Houchens and Ramie Wilkinson, both of Glasgow.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Edmonton State Bank in the name of Haley Wilkinson for the benefit of Layne Houchens Memorial Fund.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Bettie Carol Huntsman Biggers, 80, died at her home in Nashville, Tenn., on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013. A private, family ceremony will be observed with internment in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to her favorite charities, the American Heart Association or Ronald McDonald House, or to the charitable organization of one’s choice in her honor. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.



LEXINGTON – Darryl R. Callahan, 63, died June 27, 2013, at his home. Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church Cathedral, Lexington. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks a donation be made in honor of Darryl R. Callahan to the Lexington Humane Society, 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504. Milward Funeral Directors Inc., Lexington, is in charge of the arrangements.



CAVE CITY – Mary Louise Jolly, 68, of Cave City, died Sunday, Aug.17, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be donations given to Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave c/o Brother Bobby Neal.



MUNFORDVILLE – Lillian Mae Sweet, 88, of Munfordville, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in Center Point Cemetery.
