GLASGOW — Charles E. Horton

GLASGOW – Charles E. Horton, 63, of Glasgow, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 at the V.A. Hospital in Louisville.

He was born in Barren County, the son of the late Charley and Edna Bowles Horton. Charles was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by a son, Chuck Horton and wife Amy Marie, of Smiths Grove; six grandchildren, Chloe, Andrew, Daniel, Sammy, Jacob and Cassie Horton; two sisters, Betty Wallace and husband Keith, of Glasgow and Freda Hampton and husband Earl Mason, of Louisville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kendon Louis Horton, and a brother, Sammy Horton.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Bowles Family Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Danny Johnson

MILLTOWN, Ind. – Danny Johnson, 49, of Milltown, Ind., died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, in Louisville.

He was the son of Billy Ray Johnson and the late Lera Mae Matthews Johnson.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

David Bradley Robertson

GLASGOW – David Bradley Robertson, 60, Glasgow, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at his residence.

A native of Adair County, he was a son of Doris M. Taylor Robertson, of Glasgow, and the late Henry Clay Robertson. He was a member of the Methodist faith and an avid lover of cars and singing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Steve Robertson and his wife Judy, of Glasgow; two nieces, Nicki Collier and her husband Duane, and Emily Carver and her husband Billy; one nephew, Daniel Robertson and his wife Britney; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews, Perri, Sydney, Laney and Ellie Collier, Allie, Abbie, Trey and Trigg Carver, Layla and Lera Robertson; one aunt, Ruby Hulse, of Louisville; and one uncle, Max Taylor, of Columbia.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Robertson Family Cemetery in Adair County. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue Thursday morning at the funeral home.

Diane Taylor

MUNFORDVILLE – Diane Taylor, 58, of Munfordville, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at her residence in Munfordville.  

She was the daughter of the late Luther Brown and the late Oreva Smith Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Cort Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, and from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Brother Ben Benningfield officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery, Munfordville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Leitchfield Crossing Baptist Church Building Fund.
