Harold Junior Hiser
GLASGOW – Harold Junior Hiser, 75, of Glasgow, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Knob Lick, he was the son of the late Lee Otis and Lucille Morgan Hiser. Mr. Hiser was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Virginia Cherry Hiser, of Glasgow; three children, Ricky Hiser and wife Trish, of Glasgow, Jerry Hiser and wife Diane, of Glasgow, and Marcella Hiser and her companion Jimmy Compton, of Cave City; four brothers, James Hiser, of Roseville, Cecil Hiser and wife Margie, of Roseville, Ray Hiser and wife Peggy, of Caney Fork, and Robert Hiser and wife Brenda, of Austin; two sisters, Brenda Hiser Beck, of Glasgow, and Patricia Hiser Gentry and husband Jimmy, of Etoile; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Richard McCutcheon and Junior Cherry and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Kirby and husband Jerry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edna McCutcheon and a brother, Richard Hiser.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Harold ‘Mac’ McManama
FOUNTAIN RUN – Harold “Mac” McManama, 82, of Fountain Run, died Oct. 5, 2013, at Bowling Green Nursing & Rehab Center.
He was born in Meade County, the son of the late George Clifton and Myrtle Still McManama. He was a retired electrician for G.E. Company in Louisville, and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his son, Gary McManama, of Fountain Run; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Clayton McManama and one sister, Juanita Colsher.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Oct. 19, at the family’s farm in Barren County. Arrangements provided by A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
