Virgil Harrison Chapman Jr.
GLASGOW — Virgil Harrison Chapman Jr., 81, of Glasgow, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Hospice House of Southern KY in Bowling Green.
He was born in Paris, Ill., the son of the late Virgil Harrison Chapman Sr. and Eileen Parrish Chapman. Mr. Chapman was a farmer and a member of the Saint Helen’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leonette Schubert Chapman, of Glasgow; five daughters, Sue Chapman Thompson and husband Kent, of Indiana, Lori Ewing and husband Kerwin, of Louisville, Jackie Chapman, Janette Bartley and husband Steven, and Lisa Vice, all of Glasgow; eight sons, Don Johnson and wife Twyla, and Mike Johnson and wife Kathy, of Bowling Green, Ray Johnson and wife Barbara, of Lexington, Ken Chapman, of Arkansas, Jim Johnson, Rob Johnson, Scott Chapman and Mark Chapman and wife Dana, all of Glasgow; 25 grandchildren, Chad Thompson, of Indiana, Cameron Johnson, Chelsea Watson, Andrea and Emily Johnson, all of Bowling Green, Brittany Mitchell, Drake, Micah and Seth Johnson, all of Lexington, Nathaniel and Joshua Vice, of Florida, Michael and Daniel Ewing, of Louisville, and Aaron and Caleb Vice, Brock and Drew Johnson, Hunter, Andy and Alexis Chapman, Jordan and Jessalyn Bell, Kayla Strode, Whitley and Isaac Bartley, all of Glasgow; six great-grandchildren, Caden Thompson, of Indiana, Wyatt Watson, of Bowling Green, Laila Vice, of Florida, and Emma Mitchell, Olivia Mitchell and William Johnson, of Lexington; one sister, Margaret Chapman, of Arkansas; one niece, Patty Chapman, of Arkansas.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandchild, Chet Thompson.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after noon Saturday, Oct. 5, at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Harper Cemetery in Horse Cave.
Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Brooks Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Brooks Funeral Home, with Brother Mac Adwell officiating.
Interment will be at Mount Beulah Cemetery, Munfordville.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Goad Funeral Home with Brother Tim Eaton officiating and burial in Fountain Run Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Wilton Ray King, 75, of Glasgow
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with Brother John Osgatharp officiating.
Visitation is Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 6 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Margie Ann Dice, 70, of Horse Cave
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Allen Seminary Baptist Church, 100 Knob Church Road, Hardyville.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the church, with Rev. Stanford Dixon and Bishop Allen Dice officiating.
Interment will be at Allen Seminary Cemetery, Hardyville.
Grace Sikes Curd, 93, of Eighty Eight
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Marvin Wayne Jones, 55, of Park City
Mr. Jones chose cremation and no services are scheduled at this time.
Leroy Bellamy, of Cincinnati, Ohio
Visitation will be Tuesday at Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Carthage, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m.
James Elbert Walker, 87, of Kissimmee, Fla.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tompkinsville
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Old Mount Herman Cemetery.
