William Marshall Baine
SMITHS GROVE — William Marshall Baine, 82, of Smiths Grove, died Monday, March 10, 2014, at the Glasgow Health and Rehab Center.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late William Franklin and Dora Mae Scrogham Baine and the husband of the late Rebecca Ann Witcher Baine. Mr. Baine was a mechanic foreman for the Jefferson County Police for 30 years, member of the Buechel Masonic Lodge No. 896 in Louisville and member of the Jefferson County Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Louise Witcher and husband, Edgar, of Smiths Grove and Dora Mae Zierer of Bonnieville; a daughter-in-law, Mardell Hagan of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Michael Witcher, Laura Batey, Tina Hagan, Jennifer Hibbard, Chris Taylor, Terry Taylor and D. Hagan; 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Loy Hart and wife, Barbara, of Summersville; a sister, Dorothy Belk of California; a sister-in-law, Jewell Lindsey of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Delcia Mae Riley Baine; three stepsons, Ernest, Sydney and Ricky Hagan, along with three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
