Dixie Ann Sewell Cross
FOUNTAIN RUN – Dixie Ann Sewell Cross, 68, of Fountain Run, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
She was born on July 22, 1944, a daughter of the late Leora (Cox) and Ray Sewell. She was the widow of Norman Cross, who died Dec. 10, 2012.
Graveside services will be at Fountain Run Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Wednesday with Jeremy Yokley officiating, with burial in Fountain Run Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested for funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Yokley-Trible Funeral Home.
Sarah Alexander Garmon
SCOTTSVILLE – Sarah Alexander Garmon, 77, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at The Medical Center at Scottsville.
The Barren County native was the daughter of the late Jack Reid Alexander and Maydie Hale Alexander and was preceded in death by her stepmother, Gary Huntsman Alexander; brother, Jack Douglas Alexander; and husband, Clovis Garmon. She was a member of Scottsville Baptist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a life-time member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son, Stanley Whitney and wife Tanya, of Davenport, Iowa; her granddaughter, Alexa Whitney, of Bowling Green; her sister, Charlotte Alexander Buster, of Louisville; her stepson, Steve Garmon and wife Dana, of Bowling Green; her stepdaughter, Kim Gaw, of Scottsville; five stepgrandchildren, Tyler and Katie Gaw, Tyler and Kirsten Carter, and Addison Garmon; and one step-great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, and until the service Thursday.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at T.W. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Scottsville Baptist Church and the Allen County Animal Shelter.
Kelly Ruth O’Kain
GLASGOW – Kelly Ruth O’Kain, 56, of Glasgow, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
Born in Florida, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Ruth O’Kain. She attended First United Methodist Church in Glasgow.
Survivors include four sons, Dennis L. Tangen Jr., of Scottsville, Marvin D. Tangen and Michael B. Groce, both of Glasgow, and Douglas L. Groce Jr., of Hopkinsville; five daughters, Jennifer L. Ranney of Maskell, Neb., Katie A. Groce, of Scottsville, Kellie J. Tangen, Judith K. O’Kain and Dejanah S. Huffman, all of Glasgow; a brother, Dennis O’Kain, of Florida; and 13 grandchildren also survive.
Ms. O’Kain chose cremation and no services are scheduled at this time. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
