Ella Mae Bryant
GLASGOW – Ella Mae Bryant, 83, of Glasgow, and a native of Metcalfe County, entered into rest on Aug. 13, 2013, at Glenview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Ella was employed by Delco in Kokomo, Ind., and she retired from the Barren County ASCS office in Glasgow. Ella was an active member of Queens Chapel Baptist Church.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Garnett and Evvie Lee Wood Bryant; a sister and brother-in-law, Genobia and Herschel Caudle; a brother, Stanley G. Bryant; and nephews Stanley E. Bryant and Garnett R. Bryant.
Ella is survived by a special nephew and niece, Ronnie and Gayle Bryant, and nephew Donnie (Sheila) Bryant; two special nieces, Martha (Wayne) Mason and Chenita Bryant; several great nieces and nephews, and a host cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Queens Chapel Baptist Church. Interment will be in Wood Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burnam & Son Mortuary Inc. in Bowling Green.
Jackie Ray ‘Jack’ Christie
GLASGOW – Jackie Ray (Jack) Christie, 67, of Glasgow, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at his home.
He was the son of the late Lester Christie and Bernice Morgan Christie. He was a farmer and a member of Hillside Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Houchens Christie; two daughters, Jennifer Thurman and Sarah Christie; two sons, Jeff Christie and Marshall Houchens; three grandchildren, Jake Thurman and his wife Kayla, Luke Thurman and Tristin Christie; one sister, Joyce Cox, of Glasgow; three brothers, Rollin Christie, Teddie Christie and Freddie Christie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Henry Lester “Leck” Oaks.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at Fountain Run Funeral Home, with burial in Old School Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 25, 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday after 8 a.m. until service time.
William Gobel Shaw Jr., 79, of Glasgow
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Reid Welsh, 75, of Edmonton
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 24, at 11 a.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 23, at 3 p.m. and continue at the funeral home until time of services on Thursday.

Funeral services for Houston Riggs will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Rounsaville officiating. Burial will be in Leesville Cemetery at Upton. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. CST and after 8 a.m. Thursday at Sego Funeral Home.
William E. 'Bill' Wade, 82, of Columbia, Md.
A memorial service will be held at Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home, Inc. in Ellicott City, Md., at 1 p.m. on July 26, 2014. A private burial will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
Mary Ann Ross Kerr, 99, of Tompkinsville
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. on Wednesday and after 7:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Mount Hermon Cemetery in Monroe County.
Stephen Earl Biggers, 60, of Franklin, Tenn.
Stephen Earl’s wishes were to be cremated. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home in Glasgow.
Kenneth Gray Sr., 93, of the Bon Ayr community of Barren County
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be in Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday July 22, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with Bro. John Jordan officiating. Visitation will be Monday 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
