GLASGOW — Charles Holder

BOWLING GREEN — Charles “Chuck” Holder, 72, of Bowling Green died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Greenview Regional Hospital.

He was the son of the late Charles and Ruby Ina Lacey Holder and husband of Sue Wade Holder, who survives.

A memorial service was 4 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel.



Ronald Van Garsel

PRICEVILLE — Ronald G. Van Garsel, 61, of the Priceville community, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at his home.

He was a native of Plymouth, N.C., and the son of the late Peter and Margaret Jeskee Van Garsel.  

He is survived by his wife, Sandra White Van Garsel.

 A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Bonnieville Baptist Church with Brother Ronnie Blair officiating. Sego Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



Robie Jean Vincent

BOWLING GREEN — Robie Jean Vincent, 72, of Bowling Green, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Walter Lindsey and Luree Cummings Lindsey Canida, who survives, and the wife of the late Audra Vincent.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.



Charles Wade

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Charles Taylor Wade, 70, of New Bloomfield, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.

He was born March 18, 1943, in Kentucky, the son of the late Arthur Wade and the late Mayme (Coomer) Wade.

On Jan. 18, 1969, Charles was united in marriage to Sandra (Ramseier) Wade, who survives his passing at the home.

Charles was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandkids. Charles always helped others any time that he could.

In addition to his wife, Charles will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Wes Wade and wife, Jenny, of Fulton, Mo., and Mike Wade and wife, Cathy, of St. Martins, Mo.; two brothers, Wes Wade of Hiseville, and Kenny Wade, of Cave City; and five grandchildren, Taylor, Devin, Victoria, Trent and Jason.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Wade.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday, April 27, at Hopewell Baptist Church in New Bloomfield with Rev. Rick Hopkins officiating. Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery.

Mary Watson

GAMALIEL — Mary Bobbie Dugan Watson, 84, of Gamaliel, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at her home in Gamaliel.

She was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Jackson, Miss., to the late Monroe Dugan and Addie Ruth Pickett Dugan Barefield.

She was a retired cook and lunch room manager for the Monroe County Board of Education and a member of Clementsville Church of Christ. She was united in marriage on Oct. 4, 1947, to Henry Ray Watson in Roseville, Ga.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Ray Watson, of Gamaliel; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mike Elrod, of Gamaliel; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jackie and Agnes Watson, of Frankfort, and Richard Watson, of Lexington; one brother, Hershell Ray Barefield, of Canton Ohio; three grandchildren, Bethany and husband Jason Prewitt, Brooke Watson and Tanner Elrod; two step-grandchildren, John and wife Jasmine Nicholas, Scott and wife Emily Nicholas; one great-grandchild, Connor Prewitt; two step-great-grandchildren, Penny Nicholas and Yukon Nicholas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ross Barefield Jr.; one sister, Maggie Hutnik; and stepfather, Ross Barefield Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel with burial to follow in Gamaliel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday and after 7:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Gamaliel Cemetery, Clementsville Church of Christ or Hosparus Barren River.



Steven Yoakem

BOWLING GREEN — Steven Dale Yoakem, 41, of Bowling Green, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at his residence.

He was a son of the late Leo Edward and Lucille Gilliam Hicks Yoakem and husband of Shannon Lewis Yoakem, who survives.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel. Burial will be in Hawks Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

PRICES CREEK – Cecil Raymond Dickson, 70, of the Prices Creek community in Adair County, died Tuesday April 23, 2013, in Greensboro, NC. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Interment in Shirley-Dickson Cemetery, Prices Creek Road. Visitation after 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.



FOUNTAIN RUN –Joe Rogers Gee, 78, of Fountain Run, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. Visitation is in progress at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial in Gamaliel Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Gamaliel Cemetery or the American Diabetes Association.



GRIDERVILLE – James Logan Grider Sr. “J.L.,” 78, of Griderville, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.
